It is a good read, gives good insight into Sangheili and the San'Shyuum. A little short, could have easily been made into a trilogy.

IMO I think they're setting up to introduce more/new races and reintroduce the San'Shyuum to the franchise. In the comics there were an unidentified bipedal race that wasn't human. Probably leading into that.
