Macs screw ships up. It is supposed to be like that. and how many strike fighters they have? they really make a difference these days.

What would expect to happen to a ship with no shields when it gets hit by a 600 tonne slug of ferrous material traveling at several thousand miles an hour?

It scales as the game progresses. For the first 30 minutes or so a fleet of 20 to 30 can work.

Economy first, then start to commission battlegroups, supplement them with orbital defence platforms and minefields on frontline worlds.

[Dream wreck]
Can't you only get maximum of 200 Halcyons/Marathons because of 2000 Fleet Supply with ten fleet supply per ship.

You people and your silly fleets. Identical battlegroups with conventional names are where it is at.

25-35 paris classes, 10 halcyons, 15-20 destroyers, 6 marathons, 2 valiants, 1 orion, 1 phoenix class capital, and 8-20 makos (depending on enemy reliance on fighters).
