Since when were we discussing his ability as a commander?

Since Kommrad II started rating historical commanders' coolness according to their effectiveness:

Rommel was a cool guy, totes deff better then Monty seeing as he could actually put a working battle plan together.

Both were good commanders, both had their blunders. The idea though is that they, like all military commanders, should be remembered for their achievements and not judged by the way they died. Otherwise we would all judge Captain Keyes as a huge blob of puss who got his faced caved in at the end.
