- Autodesk 3ds Max
Texturing
- Adobe Photoshop
- Substance Designer
- Substance Painter
Soon™ Sculpting
- Zbrush or Autodesk Mudbox

They ar epretty much paid tools though (unless you know how to get them ... those student versions ...)
If you are looking for a free alternative you can use Blender for modelling, Bornstellar is totally into it.

I guess you could always just take the stock CAS and just scale it up... to create the C S O
On a side note Bungie created that thing not 343. Since Halo Reach was made by Bungie ya know.

On a site not you should totally make tons of pictures and post them here if you get a plot device working.

I used Adobe Fireworks, Adobe Photoshop for texturing. For modelling its 3ds Max and Wings3D lol
