It's not really all that technical or intensive most of the time. Truth be told, though, it makes me a bit sad how few blue names we get these days.

Speaking of names/titles, what do you have to do to get your name color changed?

To be pink (or light-ish red) you have to become Playtester. See Playtester applications thread for further instructions.

To be red you have to be a mod. If you're skilled enough in coding, or modelling, or something of the sort, and are willing to help the mod to improve, contact a Mod and talk about that.

To be Green you have to be an Administrator. I don't know how could you become one, or if you can become one at all, so that's a sort of magical status that represent Gods.

To be Gold you have to be a donator. Follow the link in Sloosecannon's signature to be a donator, or just ask him how to donate.

To be Yellow you have to be a Modding Personality. Are you a modding Personality? No? So no yellow for you.

To be bordeaux you have to be an inactive mod. I guess you should be an active mod before being an inactive one.

 

And then there's Whitehalomango, which is white because reasons. Also racist.

 

Oh yeah and then there are titles, which if you become anyone of the above, you can change it. Or you can request a mod to change it if you're just a pleb blue member.

 

Oh yeah also there are some Pink members, I can think only of Sev right now, which is a specifically Covenant at War playtester. Ha! Who's the pink guy now, eh?

Is it worth it to even build the sabre hangers as planet defense? From the current update they kinda suck they only have 2 Sabres and decent AA. In the next update will the sabre hanger get more Sabres next release?

Well, I pretty much just get an anchor station and spam the 14 fighter/bomber slots...

 

Seeing a a CCS fall in a couple of passes is awesome.

I do to but early game the Sabres is decent but I wonder if bed patch it will have more fighters because 2 seems low to me at least I could be totally wrong though.

True, two feels low for a full hangar, but it´s probably for balance becuase they should only work as a backup to the MACs and other installations.

 

*Edit* Otherwise, it would be complex to fight against one-shotting emplacements and swarms of Sabres from just a single hangar.

Yea your probably right but imagine how cool and effective the hangers could be with 3 or 5 fighters? Decent early game defense or make an upgrade that adds Sabres to the hangers via tech tree that would be nice.

I've been playtesting Covenant for the most part recently, so I can't really say anything about the Hangar; just remember the Sabres are more powerful than Longswords.

 

The way I used them was to protect the isolated planets in which I couldn't afford spending resources building SMACs, and to defend them from that slippery SDV or Charon that always managed to pass through my lines. For that purpose, they were quite effective.
