At last, we've discovered the corrupted heart of this infestation!

Interestingly, the human fleet enters behind my own, catching us off-guard after we dispersed throughout the gravity well, forcing a portion of my fleet in brutal close-quarters combat. Clever girl. They obliterate a capital ship and twelve others besides. Eventually we reconsolidate and crush the vermin in their own front yard.

Did you...did you paint-ed out the fps number in the top-left corner for every image? That's dedication man.

Sharp eyes. Don't want to turn the counter off. I used the natural color for that corner each time. Was hoping no one would notice. And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling Italians.Did you...did you paint-ed out the fps number in the top-left corner for every image? That's dedication man.
Edit: OR SO I THOUGHT. THANKS A LOT COLOR MATCHER THING. I give up.

"Ah, after a long Covenant test, it's good to be back as the UNSC. I mean, things are going to be easier, ri-"
*Sighs*
"This is Gold squad, going in!"
Take that bastard down already, dammit!
"Sir, we lost half our fleet, shall we continue the engagement?"
"Affermative, Anvil. Shoot everything you got, throw some rocks if necessary, but that Valiant is not going to leave this fight."
"Target neutralized, but the other vessel escaped. Shall we pursue?"
"Negative, Commander. That's not a menace anymore."
Now, while I don't like the design itself, I can't but congratulate to whoever did this for the awesome model we have now. Well done.
"Sir, I think we found them!"
"All hands to battle stations!"
"This is the Admiral: launch all nukes you've got! Aim to their capitals! And brace for impact!"
Wait for me!
Forerunner tech is amazing. Moments ago we were down there, near that distant Star...
And now, we are here, to the discovery of new species and civilizations, to go where man has gone before. Probably.
Now I'd like to say this was a glorious fight, but actually it was not. that sneaky bastard attacked when I was focused elsewhere, to one of his planets. That bastard outsmarted me, so I missed the very beginning of the fight.
And the greatest fleet I had ever built, strong of 8 Thermopylae, dozens of Autumns, 30+ Halberds and even more Eions, vanished in the blink of an eye.
My Infinity-class Aurora arrived too late, when little of my fleet was still fighting. But I loved the way I could pinpoint-slispace jump her in and out of the fight.
But it was just too much. I had to recall the fleet that was beyond the enemy lines, in the other star system, losing all the advantage I had. It was a decent fleet, so I managed to destroy what was left of his fleet.
Months have passed, and now it's time. It's time for the payback.
Remember me, bitch?

I can't wait until next week's episode, when we learn he was actually the Covenant the whole time and now he has twice as many ships as you. And that's not even his final form."Ah, after a long Covenant test, it's good to be back as the UNSC. I mean, things are going to be easier, ri-"

Actually, the only Covenant player in that game, which was my ally in the other star system, got obliterated very early on.

Also, the observant may have noticed in that SternuS's post, the CPV looks a bit different. That would be because the old thing has gotten a little love as of late, texture updates and model size improvements. Still a placeholder, but now it does look atleast decent in screenies.
