:mellow:I need help..... I still cant figure out how to get the shield refit to work on my ships I tried everything. Every time I try to use it just gives me the red cross CIRCLE. I remember it doing it by itself because I would find some of my ships with random shields and I had no reason why. I NEED assistance, I'm also very new to the game so don't judge

Researching the Shield Refit gives an ability to the Heavy Construction Yard that periodically, automatically applies shields to a capital ship in range. It often seems automatic because a new capital ship is likely to be the closest possible target.

The Ship Should be moved close to the shipyard, then the shipyard will automatically upgrade the ship.

Note you can't move the ship while upgrading (I think)

So, I'm having the same issue. I park my capital ships near the heavy constructor and nothing happens. If i try to do it manually I get the red X. Same thing when I park a repair ship in the middle of/around my fleet. Nothing happens.

 

Any advice?

I have tried Autoenabling the skill and doing it manually. Still nothing.

It was removed in this latest release.
