So another thread I was going to start before the forum crisis of 2013 was the naming.
We would like to know your input on what class ships should be named, we are looking for names that are religious in nature. An example that i think is going to be used is "Omen-Class".
Feel free to post names like this in nature, No we will not be using Covenant language as naming, think of a class the covenant would name their ships rather than a UNSC designation.

Keep it civilized. All butt hurt complaints shall be forwarded to Ember.

Diannu pls no being mean.

I think this thread is silly. Covenant ships get three letter anagrams. That's what we should do.

You know I'm right. No need to cause unnecessary embarrassment for yourself.

This is kind of a change for the assault carriers name

instead of "Assault Carrier", maybe make it CAS Assault Carrier, since sins would put a "- Class" in between the CAS and Assault Carrier in the name, and then it would have its canon human name. The CCS currently has that kind of for it at the time

Keep the ideas coming guys, I think defender the idea is that we are getting rid of the CCS type stuff
that might change though. So while you all might know it as a CCS Battlecruiser the covenant would call it their "Holy Fire class" or something. The idea is that the covenant didnt call their cruisers CCS class whatevers, they called them some religious term.

Gollys opinion, as always, has been noted

^This

There's a thread on the DMG forums about this somewhere... The plan was to include the human name in the description, but keep the name the Covanant would call them as the title. For example:

Devout Class Cruiser

CCS-Class Cruiser.
The CCS class cruiser...

I highly doubt the Covenant would reference their ships based on UNSC designations.

Crusader class, possibly for a frontline cruiser.

Unerring Faith class, possibly for a command ship, or carrier.

Revelation class, possibly for a carrier <- from MasterOfShips, I liked the name.

Holy Fervor class, possibly for an assault ship or battleship.

Paladin class? Maybe for a frontline ship.

Pious class

Venerated class or Venerable class

Celestial class

Faithful class, possibly for a scout, or Spectral class since it would be in the size range of phantoms and liches.

Rapturous class, maybe for the colony ship.

That's all I got for now.

Exalted-class frigate, Seraphic-class cruiser, Messianic-class destroyer, Deistic-class(This one should be reserved for a more powerful ship, perhaps the supercruiser), Sacrosanct battlecruiser, I could go on and on if you want me to.

Oh, can't forgot about the strings of omni-,

Omniscient-class recon frigate, Omnipotent-class heavy cruiser or carrier or at least something powerful, and can't forgot the Zealot-class supercarri-I mean frigate.

Proselyte-class, Neophyte-class light frigate, I can't stop myself.

This is both unprofessional and silly.

Can we structure our posts, rather than copy and paste fancy words you found on Wikipedia.

Oh please, structuring is for people with patience. Ain't nobody got time for that. I classify my ships to fit the meaning of the word, unless you'd rather have "Heaven-class cruiser".

But I guess that doesn't matter, because anything that you don't agree with is automatically labeled inferior ideologies of a plebeian, not that we are worthy of questioning you anyway, o' Earl of Oxford.

Again this is a good way to get the community involved. So that way everybody can have warm fuzzy feelings about the game that is made BY the community, FOR the community. Doesnt mean we will use all or any of the suggestions but ive seen a good few that might make it into the game or at least have my vote.

So so far the names we seem to like the most are Devout, Vindication, Revelation, Exalted, Pious, Absolution, Zealot, and Transcendence, and Faithful.

I think Convent Class would be a good name for either a support ship or a carrier. And how about Reclamation Class to put the ideologies of the age of Reclamation into one humongous warship or battle cruiser?
Bornsteller is so good of a modeler that he should be on the cover of Victoria Secret.™
