When the second patch releases on a currently undisclosed date, a new exciting event will begin to take place throughout the month of it's release. The event represents the bloody gladiatorial spirit that rages within us all, and it's likely that only the strongest and most neckbearded will survive the ordeal to walk in the hallowed halls reserved for those who claim victory over it. The event is human nature at its most extreme: brother against brother, man against man, and friend against awkward internet acquaintance. I'm talking, of course, about a Halo RTS tournament.
Rules:
- This is a 2vs2 tournament! All teams and placements are randomly assigned via an impartial computer program.
- All players will need to reserve a place on the bracket on a first-come first serve basis. The bracket will continue to shift and teams aren't considered final until the start of the tournament.
- All players will stick to the established bracket and subsequent schedule.
- Tournament games will be played on competitive maps (ie Chokepoint, Labyrinth)
- Settings for the games will be Flood [Off], Locked teams, Fleet Size [Large], Ship Speed [Default], and the rest at their highest speeds.
- Dishonesty regarding standings and match outcomes will result in expulsion from the tournament.
- Good sportsmanship, as hard as that is for you people, is at least somewhat expected.
The two players that make it into the finals will both receive Sins of the Prophets custom t-shirts and internal playtester access (if not already granted).
The winner of the finals will receive a 3D printed model of his choice from our assets.
