Basically, take a look at the Culture-verse ship names. Halo grabbed a lot from them anyway (Killing Time is one I borrowed).

I figured I would put a little story behind the name of the UNSC "No Surrender" to promote it a bit.
The UNSC No Surrender was an Athens Carrier, made originally for the mop up job of a star system while my main fleet went off to attack and end the match. As the main fleet entered slip space between stars the No Surrender was still in dry dock under construction. While my forward assault base was undefended the enemy fleet arrived. With a fleet larger then any I had witnessed before they proceeded to lay waste to the system. As they moved to the planet they turned their sights to the dry docks. As they demolished the dry dock the Athens Carrier was rolling out 100% completed. As if birthed from the ashes, it's guns blazed to life, unleashing hails of missiles and mac rounds into the poor ships stupid enough to stand in it's way. Then came the squadrons of fighters. One by one my enemies' ships were ripped apart. The battle ended with a very damaged Athens Carrier, and a very big debris field. As I looked with pride at that poor ship I realized I had neglected to name it. Thus that Athens carrier was named the No Surrender. A badge of honor I've passed on to other ships who survive the brink of death to strive onwards. For Humanity.
