They most likely had to manufacture new ones since the UNSC didn't have shit for ship after the war and their most prominent ship graveyard was on Reach, which was lost. So I would assume the fleet escorting the Infinity in the Infinity reveal trailer was most likely all the Autumn-class Cruisers the UNSC had for the time.

I would assume that scene has been put there just to get the hype for the viewers, but with no canonical sense. Just as like as the cutscene when you select Infinity in the menus, when you see the Infinity escorted by a bunch of Autumn-class cruisers which disappear at the beginning of S-Ops.

Nailed it. They made her a bitch to make it seem like she's tough as nails and a strong independent woman who don't need no man but in reality they just made a very rude, complaining character. Dreadful.

Its like a bad halo fanfic with a bunch of Mary sues, Sarah palmer being the worst

I think she is actually quite realistic. I knew captain just like her, a captain in intelligence, By the age of 25 she had completed 4 combat tours and had been in more than 30 IED strikes and F*** knows how many firefights. Saying she was Tough was an understatement. One memory of her really sticks out: this time on patrol and we're in deep in a firefight, she was shouting at people to get out of a ditch whilst in the middle of a road, then took two rounds into the armour she got straight back up, shook if off and started screaming again.

She stood up to her name : psycobitch.

I'm not frowning on her career record, her personality is bland and she has no depth other than its Jennifer Hale.

I'm not saying I don't like Palmer, I am saying I don't like why she was added.

It feels like they only added her to be a bitch and to be ironic, "Oh look, the leader of the super awesome Spartans is a lady, and she is a total hard ass. 343 real broke the mold with this one." is what I think they wanted the reaction to be. Except it has been done before, a lot. Any time something wants to break the mold. ANd so 343 doing it just feels cheap.

I think it would have been cooler to have any already established person to be the leader of the SIVs rather then create a new character for no reason other than "It'd be kind of neat."

Like if Johnson hadn't died he'd be the leader at the drop of a hat, and that would of been epic. Having Chief/Johnson duo kicking ass. But he died.

There are other choices though, like Stacker, or Buck. They both would have almost the same military record as Palmer, and they were already established in the canon and so it wouldn't feel cheap to have them. And Nathan Fillion voices Buck so +1000 my preference. But nope.
Any of the SIIs would of been epic to have as the leader as well, even more so if you aren't told that they are a SII until much later. But then John would most likely instantaneous recognize them.

Anyway the point is Palmer was a cheap addition and someone else would of been a better choice.

Also Jun is confirmed alive so +1 surviving S-III.

I vote Chief Mendez for S-IV leader.

I know it is kind of hypocritical to say this after I suggested Stacker but Chief Mendez is OLD. Too Old. He complains about his oldness on Onyx. I alo don't think his frail old body would adapt well to being augmented.

Edit: Stacker hasn't actually got a back-story so he hasn't got an offical age. I guess I just kind of expect him to be old.

When I say leader, I meant like trainer. The kind of thing Mendez did to the S-III's and II's
