"Greetings Admirals and Fleet Masters" is a little child-ish. Maybe "Greetings everyone" would've been more serious. But who cares!
It is indeed a nice presentation and there is quite a lot of news in there.

It is indeed a nice presentation and there is quite a lot of news in there.
Childish? On a video game about space ships?! No way!

So when will we get to see a public Rebellion Release? Will it be before the Titans come into play or after? I am quite excited about this mod and it was quite fun playing on entrenchment.

Public release has a set internal date. It'll be only updated as much as we need for the mod to work, so just a couple of new ships.

Will the Mako still be in the Mod, but in a different role? Otherwise, good update! Also, you playtesters should show some Covie gameplay (for us poor public players).
Once canada gets our new shield meshes in game that'll be a top priority, I assure you. (everyone should harass him about shield meshes until he does them)

Just a random question. If you were to sit down and start a ship from start to finish with no break about how long does it take. Just out of curiosity

For example one person models the ship then someone else textures it etc etc so yeah..... Few days mabye? would be my guess

So... Will SMACS use less tactical slots? I don't know how SMACS are in more current builds, but in the open beta, they seem quite easy to take out. I would like to be able to build more SMACS in a gravity well, so they might be more effective.

They are suppose the be easily taken out, but they can kill at least 3ish+ ships before they do.

I get that, but I'm hoping they would use less tactical slots, so you could build more, to help offset how easily they get taken out.

Build them near your planet so they can profit from their range. Make one to three anti-fighter hangars to fend of bombers and you should be fine
It takes a dwarf to use magma for snow shoveling
Only in Dwarf Fortress would you try to catch a mermaid to butcher her and make trophies out of her bones
