Glad your safe mate, some of those natural disasters can be real scary stuff. Lucky for me, I've never had to experience any of that stuff as its all mighty rare for anything to happen down here in Australia, besides the occasional flooding.

Tell a lie, my in laws live on the Norfolk broads and suffer pretty badly from flooding.
Sometimes the odd whirlwind.

The worst are the channel and North Sea storms. They're like a sea state 9.

Was in a commandeered ferry coming back from an ex.
Pretty rough storm.
Was standing in the middle of the deck and was thrown sideways to the port side, up 4 feet and astern 3 feet. Landed on my arse.

Private muppet still had his helmet on, was thrown from one side to the other and into a bulkhead. Helmet was a write off but he was OK.

Saw the same swell smash into, our destroyer escorts T42, a T45, was at least 2/3rds out the window water.

Ended up taking 3 bags of cans and 4 boxes of bottles to the recycle center.

I threw some of the spirits down the sink. I've now got a sticky lining down the pipes and a sweet smelling sink, despite draining and replacing the U bend.

Ah, if automated testing were able to eliminate human error. In my experience, it just moves the bugs from the main software to the test suite. ^^
