Ugh. How difficult can it be to check for power lines BEFORE you rip open the damn street?

And another version of PySoaSE. v1.3.0 now with batch modification of Mod files. So you can screw up even faster. ;-)

-
Lavo
Does this include the position modifiers we had talked about prior?
Aug 28 2016 11:29 PM -
mmeier
Yes, it does. You can manipulate any and all lines. Have a look at the documentation: http://pysoase.readthedocs.io/en/stable/usage.html#the-modify-command

Bad? Having no tests and overlooking errors. Highly embarrassing? Having tests, but not running them and overlooking errors. Here's to automated testing.

Here here, to the elimination of human error!

All hail mmeier, Lord of lazi-I mean automated testing.
Aug 19 2016 09:25 AM -
mmeier
Ah, if automated testing were able to eliminate human error. In my experience, it just moves the bugs from the main software to the test suite. ^^
@Alux Now wait, just because I don't run another 6-minute program before release doesn't make me lazy ;-)

First World Problems: Can't develop because IDE autocomplete lags to much due to a system update eating all the CPU cycles.

Ugh. I would really like to meet the guy who thought "naw, a file system does not need to be case sensitive".

-
sloosecannon
Also who needs case sensitivity for ordering files? if its Priority use ! as prefix.

SPECTRE
JSP101(E) and Some BS no. States
Any files that requires constant update is to use ! prefix.
But Mmeier is also correct. Files that are to be archived as they are no longer required or has a date of previous year it to be dated in YYYY/MM/DD format rather than DD/MM/YYYY.
Dashes are to be used as a breaking reference.

! 30/07/2016 - File Dating Procedure. (UP) REF: 123456789
But after its no longer needed and requires archiving:

Luckily, it is neither dumb nor (all that) slow. It's just plain hideous under the hood. And yes, you're right, I'm often surprised myself when I realize the difference in my ability to comprehend English and my ability to articulate myself in it.

Don't worry English is a crap language to learn.
There, their, they're, the, them, though, tough, thought, think, thank.
At least we don't have 180 words for "snow", have feminine or masculine words, or respectful, pier or younger words.

Right now, I'm rather grateful that Germany never had a Referendum on the Federal lvel and probably never will, regardless of how loudly the populists my scream. And I think it is going to be fascinating to see what happens with the UK in the next years. And who will be next....

That moment when your boss tells you to use the code from his Masters Thesis for a new research project, and after 3 days, you have to tell him about a dozen memory errors in it. Meaning that all the simulation results in his thesis are invalid...

That must have been pretty rough for him. :/

Yepp, it was. He had also published a paper based on those simulations, which he now needs to retract. Not good.
