Ok, so we have Infinity and AC as the Titans, so I will head straight to my idea.

I think the Hephaestus should be able to build Titan foundries.

I was thinking that the Infinity should be impossible to make at the planet, I then thought of the oort cloud and left the no planetary construction idea behind, (although that would still be awesome.) and thought of this.

When i first saw this i was like "not another titan idea thread" and then i read it and this is actually not a bad idea,as a matter a fact, This would be close to cannon.

EDIT: and where did you see that the AC was the official titan? cause im really hoping that is NOT whats happening.

I forget, but I believe that has been 100% decided.

Also, the logic is that they would be rare after the schism, it is about equal to the Infinity, we will not use a non-canon ship as Titan, and the ship that shall not be named is out of the question. (You should make impossible to say plot device, just like you know who ( ).)

At one point they were thinking about the covenant not having a titan.

How will the AC play?

The way i see it is as such, a ship that can deploy a metric butt-ton of squadrons, has energy projectors, shields weak compared to infinity, decent weapons.

More of a support ship that a straight up combat ship.

Yes, this idea seems a bit more understandable, as what Covenant technology was left was attempted to be kept in good shape, since building new stuff is impossible as of 2553. Also, the Assault carrier just looks to regular to be a titan, it was, what the second most deployed Covenant ship in existence? and they had around one hundred defending high charity i recall, granted a few were destroyed, but look at shadow of intent, made it out without a scratch. So using this as a titan is not very cannon. and frankly, i like the idea of no covie titan, the covenant were very uniform, they did not modify a certain ship in a class, they would just make a whole new class. and perhaps to fill the void research wise, it will upgrade assault carriers or something of the sort.

Would it make sense for the Covenant Supercarrier to be their titan? Its supposed to be the flagship for a lot of their fleets and the largest ship in their fleet.

And the Hephestus idea sounds good, although more research would be needed to construct a titan, and you'd be faced with the problem of the Hephestus becoming too critical in the late game when its building defensive and offensive starbases as well as the faction titan.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

DO NOT MENTION THE COVENANT PLOT DEVICE! No really, all joking aside, the Covenant Super carrier is NOT going to be in the mod. We are planing to using a very specific ship as the titain and it is not going to be the Assault Carrier.

Why is the SD the Titan? I do not feel that it fits the role.

Also, what do the devs think of my idea?

The SD is rarer and more powerful than any assault carrier (12 energy projectors) and was designed purely for ship to ship, hence why it was in "deep" space when it was engaged.

You mean the super destroyer/battleship. It was originally called the super destroyer, until they did a revised edition in which they changed it to battleship.

I personally am hoping for something in between. But it all depends on what ship they choose, but just putting this out there
