Even for public use it isn't a crime. Just commercial use, and then it's Microsoft's problem.

What I really meant is, is it considered a dick move among modders? I don't really have that much familiarity with it.

Maybe if you changed two entity files, posted it on ModDB and named it Sins of the Prophets: The Good Version. I wouldn't fault you for it on principle though. I imagine some people would get grumpy if you mod their mods but the legal situation is designed to allow as much sharing and creativity as possible. So, just do it.

Well, this may only be moderately helpful, but i advise browsing MODDB, that can give you a few clues. also, i wouldn't jump right into making a mod if you dont know coding yet, perhaps try to help a mod that is currently being made. and dont worry about deletion! The only things we delete are spammers and trolls, so avoid those and you A-OKAY.

I mod mods all the time, though. I consider it a true compliment when we people like what we've done that they get inspired enough to tinker with it.

I'm not saying we'll call 4chan. I'm just saying you don't want to piss people off who can replicate the nasty behavior of the place. Jake knows what I'm talking about. They can be mean. I can be mean.

I tinker with stuff as well, I'm just saying keep it to yourself. SotP is distributed by Local Haole Studios and only LHS.
