Whoever was in charge of the defense of reach was a n00b

There wasn't a single SMAC in sight, just one starbase, barely anything resembling a mine, and a disgusting lack of frigate spam.

Reach had 20 SMACs in orbit. That's what knocked out the SDV over Sword Base. It had plenty of nuclear mines too, if I recall. The defense fleet was massive by canon standards.

Well I mean no he wasn't, he was talking about the game, where there were zero SMACs and just the station and we also see only about two UNSC ships :I

Haha, bitch. Now we're even!

But seriously, that entire exchange made me laugh. And I see Jaquecz is a fine Admiral in the making.

The game was a load of shit compared to what it should have been. I don't mind the story revamp but it felt.. boring. ESPECIALLY the Tip of the Spear sequence. What the fuck, I wanted a big ass battle and some scarabs. I wanted big ass space battles. I wanted street level urban combat. I wanted to hopelessly defend the ODPs. I wanted to assist in the UNSC orbital defense. Pisses me off.

:(

Both the book and the game take place alongside and after/before eachother.

What I want is the halo campaigns to go over 10 levels.

Halo 2 was pretty long, why not have another one.

The book and the game are not even close to that. I'm not even going to start with the issues between the two. What I will say is in the book Reach was a couple of days at most, in the game it was over a month.

No, I mean pertaining to the book and the game. Even when the entire fleet showed in the game, it still took 16 days for the fall of Reach to be over. 16 DAYS.

You're completely missing the point. In the book all of the events on Reach transpired in a couple of days, the end of August. Halo: Reach starts in mid-late JULY and ends when the actual book does.

Huge discrepancie.

youre missing my point as well, the covenant fleet doesnt arrive at the very beginning of halo: reach, it shows up much later in the game

I'm aware of that, that's not what I was talking about. Another giant plothole: how the fuck do you sneak a 27km ship in behind enemy lines without anybody noticing?
