That was already specified in the thread post. However, the mod team does not wish to implement the "Plot Device" [Although it was in Ghosts of Onyx!].



Not the plot device. That is what we have a problem with. If the GoO ship had appeared in more than just the novel, then it would probably be in.

Actually the P L O T  D E V I C E appeared in Ghosts of Onyx (First appearance was in Halo: First Strike, just thought I'd add that) and Halo: Reach, hence it has appeared in two forms of the franchise, making it not a plot device. Even more so, Ghosts of Onyx came out in 2006, 4 years before Halo Reach again making it a part of canon NOT A PLOT DEVICE.

there are SEVERAL reasons why this ship is not going in, the biggest being balancing. Take a ship thats 29 km long, give it the approprate stats (health, shielding, armor), give it the canon weaponry, the fighter compliment, and then...balance it.
 
yeah... it is not even close to worth the effort.

If you wanna create some new design for it, by all means do, run it by someone on the team, see where that goes, but the Reach design of the Supercarrier will never be in. Half of the team would quit before that happened.

it already is in, its the same model as the assault carrier in halo reach

no. first off, wrong scaling ratio, its closer to 5.8 or 5.9. second, thats WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too lazy a ship idea, and its not going to ever be considered. ever. ever. ever.

If it's so easy do it yourself.. make mini mod. Go for it, as long as Uni doesn't care. The things 29km, a CAS is 3km, do the math.
