I've trying to install the mod, and it doesn't seem to be working. I've followed the installation instructions precisely, but for whatever reason the game stays as the vanilla version, instead of swapping over. Same factions, same music, same UI, everything. Is anyone else having this problem?

Have you taken it out of the folder in the .zip?

Yes, I've unzipped it and exported it into the mods folder for SoSE, and it does show up in the in-game mod menu after I've done that. It just doesn't work.

There's a folder inside the folder you got from the zip, that's droid you are looking for.
I might not be using the right version of the install or something, because my download just has a giagantic mass of various files. There are a few folders in that list, but they're empty.

What you're gonna want to do is select the SotP Alpha version with the PERIODS, not the underscores, and move the underlying folder (the one with with the underscores) to the 1.82 mod folder.
Then, after that is done, you're going to want to go to you EnabledMods.txt folder and make sure it looks EXACTLY like this, because the game will more likely than not crash if loaded through the in game mod manager (the mod is simply too big to be loaded through the in game one).
If you don't follow just say and I'll try to dumb it down even more. Happy playing

Hello, I am very new to this forum (joined about 5 minutes ago to be exact) A few months ago, I downloaded the previous version of the mod onto an old computer. Now I have a new computer and you have a new version. I've been trying to reinstall the mod and nothing seems to work. Could you please post a pic of EXACTLY how the 1.82 mod folder should look like? I've also noticed that inside the nest file is a largeapp thingy and a few other things and I was wondering how where those things go. Another question is "are any special programs needed to make the mod work?" It seems that Microsoft is screwing up out of software and while my computer came with windows 8.1, it doesn't come with Microsoft office anymore, you need to be it separately.
If anyone could explain these please, it would be a great help.

LargeAddressAware.exe allows Sins to access more than 2 gigs of memory. Helps with late-game minidumps, but isn't required.I've also noticed that inside the nest file is a largeapp thingy and a few other things and I was wondering how where those things go.

If you had it with Windows, that was an OEM deal.
There are no programs, other than Sins, that are required for the mod.

Please read my posts in this thread and see if any of those help you.On a side note, what check sum should I be getting? On my previous attempts I kept getting a checksum of about 85170 or something like that.
Checksum is for the most part irrelevant to the issue.

1. Unzip the mod into the folder with the dots.
2. Open the folder with the dots to find the folder with the underscores
3. Move file with underscores into the 1.82 mod folder.
4. Open game
5. Enable and apply mod.
6. Mod loading screen(the one with the covenant icon)
7. Tone?
8. Mini dump.
Could someone look this over and see where I went wrong? Is moving different from exporting?

Let me state my entire course of action.
Didn't read enough. Use the enabledmods.txt file to activate your mod, the mod is simply too big to enable through the in game one so it will crash.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.
The text file in the pic above with typing in the mod and enabling it. That makes so much sense.
I feel stupid, let me try that. Thanks.
