think ONI
not that ONI isnt related to this, but when i think of UNSC shields, i think repurposed foreruner tech. Isnt that what the Halo 4 shield technology is based off of?

Yeah, but obviously the Navy's intelligence agency would most likely be the first with access to such experimental technology.

I agree with you, this is just how my head works, im not saying ONI is NOT related to dealing with the shields

Actually, shield technology was already being prototyped (Sabre program) before/during the fall of reach. I think that, during the time period of the rebellion release, infinity will definitely have some amount of shielding, and MAYBE other ships will. It depends on a few things, such as canon (do those charons in Halo 4 have shields as well?), as well as any information from books/games. Depends on where the mod goes though in all honesty.
Actually in spartan ops episode 1 when the Infinity releases the frigates from it super giant ass hangers you can see that weapons which would normally of caused damage to the vessels are shrugged off as they are absorbed by shields. So therefore it is very Canon.

When you think UNSC ship shields, think ONI. It definitely hasn't reached the point of being general technology yet. That'll be important during the Rebellion UNSC faction split.
As I said in my previous post the frigates launched from the Infinity did in fact have shields as did the broadswords.

If you look in Halo4 Spartain Ops Episode1 cinematic the Infinity of couse, definatley has powerful shielding, and if you look closely the Charon MKII's had shielding as well (when seraph plasma bolts hit them).Actually, shield technology was already being prototyped (Sabre program) before/during the fall of reach. And if Rebellion will be Halo4 era, the human shielding should be as if not more powerful than covenant depending on size because the Covenant doesn't innovate, they never change, but the UNSC takes and reverse-engineers tech and makes it better (like the jackal shield they repurposed for Spartain armor). Also the human shielding is probably heat resisnant.

Then again, Halsey never did know about infinity tell they strapped her in chains and brought her aboard to install the forerunner techkeep in mind that the examples you have given are small (compared to a ship). it takes a lot more power to have a shielded ship than it does a shielded fighter. In fact, in Dr. Halseys notebook (given to you with limited edition Halo: Reach), it says that the UNSC didnt have the ability to shield a single room on a UNSC ship, let alone the entire thing. So its still up for debate if they truly are
As for shielding goes I completely agree with Uni on this one, only go with what we know has shields, whenever halo 5 comes out and or the books tell us more, we should just stick to what we know.
