I suppose you can force the punic to look good if you paint giant hangar doors on the sides, and cover the rest in so much paint that it's offensive corners can no longer be distinguished. You can call it a "product of covenant tech" or something.

I think it looks fine as is. The design is nice and it maintains the carrier look while differing itself enough from the Epoch, Phoenix, and I would guess the carrier type that the Athens belongs to since I don't think it's an Epoch.

I believe the Athen's is a class based off the UNSC Atlas.

I always got the feeling that as UNSC supercarriers are so rare any active ships were probably left over from before the start of the Human-Covenant war, considering the cost, build time and general survival rates it would make more sense for the UNSC to shift materials to more practical classes, hence I would have preferred a more traditional UNSC design, rather than 343 and Spartan yet again trying to shoehorn the Infinity look into everything.

While I don't think it looks like a dildo, as others have said, I disagree about it looking good.

I also don't like it having sub bays.  Its one of the things I felt made Infinity unique.  The only thing separating Infinity from the Pubic now is essentially faster engines, as I'm sure if the Punic is large enough Infinity MACs could be fitted on her.

I feel neutral about the subbays. I'm curious as to what frigate will launch out of them.

That was intentional, right?

I found this pic of the Punic on Halo Nation, and (at least from this angle) I think it's a much better attempt then the blatant kitbash they called the Valiant-class cruiser

On the bright side Unikraken won't have to look for a mate in the UNSsea.
