Hello,
My idea is to include in the capital ships the Point of No Return.
It is ONI's most secret and important ship. The books describe it quite well, it has the dimensions of a destroyer and is a stealth cruiser.

This is the wiki page: http://www.halopedia...nt_of_No_Return

Stealth in sins is impossible, but it could have a lot of special abilities like mines, spy and repair drones. Maybe like a prowler but bigger, faster, stronger.
I think Sins of the prophets can't ignore this fantastic ship!

"Your destruction is the will of the Gods... and we are their instrument!"

Arbiter: There was only one ship.
Prophet of Truth: One? Are you sure?

Arbiter: Yes. They called it the "Pillar of Autumn"
Prophet of Mercy: Why was it not destroyed with the rest of their fleet?
Arbiter: It fled as we set fire to their planet. I followed with all the ships in my command.

Parangosky:"Corporal, when's the best time to kick a man?"

Vaz:"When he's down, ma'am. And preferably in the nuts. Hard as you can."

I have to agree with this it makes sense to include the point of no return. But the question is HOW to include it are we going to go with it being a sort of Titan like the infinity but then it would be a rather small Titan. Then again size isn't everything it could have some really good abilities (if we can come up with them)

There is no way that thing will be a titan, it is the size of a destroyer and is less armed than a mako corvette. It would be interesting to see it used, but theres no definitive role it could play besides MAYBE a diplomatic vessel, and that would feel weird for a stealth frigate

Maybe it could add bonuses I don't know there should be useful at the very least as a cap ship you know

Maybe you know lay nuclear mines at a high cost (useful as both offensive and defensive) find a way to not be attacked during this time period as well (you know signifying that it isn't seen)

It might be a bit too large for this, but why not make it the new corvette for the ONI subfaction?

because there is only one Point of no Return, whereas there could be hundreds of corvettes in your fleet

So how about a new, smaller class of corvette based on the Point of No Return? It can be the cheaper, mass produced version of the ship used specifically by the ONI subfaction.

I don't agree....
There is one spirit of fire, but we call it a refit phoenix class colony ship and we can have a fleet of them. Same thing with the pillar of autumn.

And the ONI subtraction may then use the point of no return as a cap ship that lays nuclear mines (very expensive) while being invulnerable among other things.

Also to the person above their is literally only one of the point of no returns class and that is the point of no return. It's a custom ship made by ONI to house meetings between the ONI higher ups

in SOASE Rebellion, each race has a subfaction, i.e. TEC Loyalist vs. TEC Rebels. The same will eventually happen to the UNSC when SotP moves to Rebellion.

And there will be enough ONI ships to make an ONI subfaction? Or can ONI's subfaction use all UNSC ships?

They can use all UNSC ships.

So what is the difference from other human subfactions?

Don't forget it's a stealth ship, and for it to stay that way, it has to be able to cloak. BUT there is no real way of implementing true stealth

And I posted a topic about stealth a while ago

And i got from there the idea of the point of no return as capital ship

But there is no real point for it for the mod at this time, maybe in future but I can't see it doing really anything in the mod
