it has officially been established that i suck at playing on small maps

The problem is that you have at tendency to just stop expansion and scouting and try to build up a mega fleet early.
When in small maps you have to apply quite a bit of pressure and move fast.
You didn't even scout a good chunk of the map while I had the entire system scouted.
You could have taken up some good opportunities since I didn't take at least 2 astroid belts on opposite side of the map I wasn't fighting on.

For the record:

whenever i play online, i play with a large group of people, so we play on big maps, usually multi star. At this point, you can focus more on research and economy and have a small fleet for capturing planets. And, most of the time, my team comes out on top.

Due to this, it can be expected that my strategies wont work on a small 1v1 map, because then i can easily be rushed as i try to figure out what i need to prioritize first.

would lag the game, ive already faced 1000 prowlers, lost 5 ships out of my fleet, took 24 minutes to get through around 30 seconds of gameplay.
