I didn't say it was a good or bad idea lol - Just pulled a SpardaSon and said if it was possible or notGonna jump in here and say I really don't like this. Dicking around with this stuff too much will break the gameplay. There are all sorts of holes in any simplified game. A ship with 1% of it's hull would not be able to recover, nor fight back, so on and so forth. If you over analyze a relatively simple game then you're going to find big faults with it. I don't think this kind of mechanic change would improve fun. Maybe when a more complex and better game comes out, like Star Citizen, we might be able to do more, but deviating from SoaSE mechanics too far will make it not fun, among other things.
