Does the frigate, pictured above, have shields? Or that an unknown? I always assumed that the Infinity was the only UNSC ship with shields.

The ten frigates that it caries also have shields.

Yup. This is due to a number of Huragok aboard the infinity.
Ingame, this will be simulated by granting nearby vessels shielding within a certain range.

Stronger or weaker than the forerunners even?

Couldn't you just give the frigates that it calls in shields?

Pretty sure the only shielding stronger than the forerunners is something from other Lore such as star wars

Or the Precursors.

Really? The forerunners seem to do alright against them.
And yeah, we could technically limit the shields to only the deploy-able frigates. I think a Titan is inherently meant to be a game-changer, though, and an AoE shield effect would have that in spades. We'll see, either way.

Is it possible to give the Infinity the ability to build the frigates as a command ability?

Well, this could be done by taking the vasari phase gate ability "dark armada returns" and doing some coding magic with it to spawn in X number of halo 4 charons

That seems a roundabout way of spawning them.
Either that or the "deploy bombardment station" ability would make excellent starting points.

Oh, completely forgot about that ability. yeah, that ability would be even better than the "returning dark armada" ability

Doesn't that ability "launch" the platform from the ship?

Essentially, yes. The platform is deployed from right under the ship.
Also, can you choose the location its deployed from? Is it a hardpoint or does it just spawn in where it is?

An ability hardpoint assigned would likely cover it.

I have read them, well except for the last that hasn't been published yet. And yes I know that the Infinty has huragok and that they have been confined to Infinity much to the dismay of other UNSC admirals. What I am asking is why you assume that Shields are only available to ships with huragok on them? To my knowledge this has not been confirmed or denied by 343 (the UNSC could just have learned to copy the huragoks work you know).

Because they wanted to keep huragok away from normal UNSC. The shield tech is definitely Forerunner, therefore it's tech being kept out of normal UNSC for the time being.
