I don't know how this would fit into Halo's cannon, but could you add research that would add Archer missile pods to Anchor Stations? I only ask because I play on the defensive in Sins and Anchor Stations seem a little helpless with just Anti-Air guns.

They arent meant to be defensive bulwarks. Anchor stations are 90% fleet support, 10% giant sabre hangars.

Oh. Could another type of station, defensive in nature, be added to SofP and have the Anchor as a cheap to build way-point, for systems you can't colonize, and as a early-game station?

The gamma station is already planned.

Cool. I didn't know, I'm happy to know there will be a station better suited for defense.  :)

There are plans to make defensive stations alongside the fleet support ones. But those will be later down the line.

Also, it's worth noting that the Anchor technically can't fire at this time...

I know this thread hasn't been active in awhile, but I have another question related to Anchor Stations (that I feel doesn't require another thread). Anyways, will you be able to build both an Anchor Station and a Gamma Station in the same gravity well?

Couldn't we do duel space station research like the TEC Loyalists have? I have been in support of that for awhile.

Yeah a Station you can only built at stars is a terrible idea, One star systems they are just bypassed and even multistars stations can be skipped around quite easily.

There are other ways to set it up however that is best left for the Dev section...

Hardly. The concept is simple for starbases.

Only one build at each gravity well. You either choose Gamma or Anchor unless you get dual starbase research. Then, you just have any combination of 2 (or w/e number you set) kinds of starbases.

I found it rather hard to interpret Lavo's statement in the first place  so...... Either way having both stations in a system would be nice. I mean Archer stations aren't hard to take out and the defenses need all the help they can get when an enemy fleet roles in.

Intend would be that you replace the old with the new.
