As for the physics and the math, look in the general topics forums. In there is a section from around april 2013 called Macs and Physics or something like that. I go into great detail on the subject. Although we dont define the length of a MAC because its never stated, its the relationship that matters. Also its semi improbable to figure out certain aspects since we do not know how long it took from the point where force was applied to the round to the point where it left the barrel and force was no longer applied. In essence we dont have the time it took to go from 0 - 30km/s. Which means we dont have the acceleration constant (assuming its constant which is probably isnt.)
Its the communitys mod. We just put the work into it. We as a team discuss certain aspects not set in stone with physics, logic, science, math, and military traditions of multiple nations (USA, UK, and the Former USSR to name a few) to solve problems or come up with solutions. Most of the stuff on wikis was found in books. You asking for citations is saying go re read all the books to quote the info to me. While I understand your curiosity, you also need to understand that we dont make stuff up and even our conjecture or "best guess" is something we debated behind closed doors about for days if not weeks.
