Since the massive success of my Gamma station thread, thought id give a shot at the covenant starbase.

 

Ok so Base stats of what i would like to call the Caelum class starbase.

  • Hull: 1500
  • Armor: 2
  • Sheilds: 2500
  • Sheild Mitigation: 15%
  • Average pulse laser damage: 100
  • Average Plasma torpedo Damage: 300
  • Average Energy projector Damage:500

Abilities

 

Endurance 3 Levels

  • Add 1 armor 2% mitigation 500 hull and 100 sheilds per upgrade

Weapons 2 levels 

  • Adds 1 torpedo launcher  and two laser turrets per upgrade.

Fighter docks 3 levels

  • adds 4 seraph fighters per upgrade

Places of worship 3 levels

  • Spreads culture

Unrelenting endurance 1 levels

  • Takes power via weapons to drastically improve mtigation and regen rates

Shadow of loyalty 1 level

  • Prevents loss via bombardment

Palaces of commerce 1 level

  • Allows civilian trade

Light of Faith 2 levels

  • The starbase destroys itself in a massive show of glory, giving a huge buff to friendly units in the gravity well for a short amount of time.

 

I will add more as i think of them

I would suggest removing the energy projector, because the covenant are supposed to have weak defenses to contrast from the UNSC heavy defenses for balancing. Other than that, I don't know how much damage the plasma topedos and pulse lasers actually do, though it would probably be around 700-1000 damage. Pretty good.

Good point with the projector, after looking over the model, i realized theirs no where for it to realistically come from  :P

Plasma Torpedoes do much more than 1000 damage.

I think the covenant need ore of a mobile staging post than a actual defensive station. Like antimatter regen, repairs, build ships ect. Bulky armour and shields, crappy weapons.

Supercarrier and Autumn Classes can take a hit due to their High HP and Armor mitigation.

Look at what plasma torps did to the UNSC ships in cannon. Not to mention the energy projectors. Now when you consider the weaponry used by the Forerunners, for example two Forerunner infantry weapons use antimatter. And mist of their ship to ship weapons are heavy particle cannons or particle beams that use highly energized ions. Those weaopns will tear right through titainium-a battleplate.
