I think that hard light weapons would be cool.

agreed

Hard light is a very interesting concept, id honestly like to see when the forunner starbase comes along, to have some hardlight oriented weapon.

I never knew forerunner weapons used antimatter.

Not all of the infantry weapons did. Only the boltshot and the incinerator canon do. Their ship to ship weapons are particle based.

@spectre i never knew the line installation used hardlight, how interesting that it would be the choice for ammunition, i also saw the mantles approach was held together using hardlight.

The hard light weapons would likely be used as small scale weapons because ionized particles are capable of delivering much more energy to the target than photons. Not saying they wouldn't use them but hard light weapons would probably be limited to a strictly point defense role.

Well alot of forerunner shields are based on hard light tech, so yeh a CIWS role would fit nicely.

So is the Starbase going to use the mini High Charity model or the Unyielding Hierophant model?

I'd like to see both, similar to the Anchor and Gamma station plans for the UNSC.
