According to NeoGAF, a Halo 2 Anniversary edition would be scheduled for this year's fall, while Halo 5 would be delayed to 2015.

While I'm fairly convinced that this is fake (it hasn't been confirmed by Microsoft yet), I really hope this is true.

What do ya think, umpteenth hoax, or possible remake?

The only way halo 2 remake will be any good is if they do not change anything and keep all the glitches for multiplayer.

There was a version of Halo 2 for the PC, came out for Windows Vista. I didn't get it so i don't know how well it worked but that was the last Halo game that was ported to PC. Microsoft knows that Halo sells Xboxs so they are hesitant to give people an avenue to buy it without getting an xbox.

no, i meant anniversary.

Disappointing that H:CE:A wasn't on PC.

I actually have H2 on PC but its sucks beyond belief as its so old its incompatible.

Imagine playing on 15 FPS, and no mouse smoothing.

I'd buy it because I'm a halo fanboy with no sense of self control or existential worth. So yeah, I'd definitely buy it.

Oh, right, yeah you're in the UK forgot. Also I never played Halo 2 PC because my brother had it on xbox.

If they do actually make a Halo 2 Anniversary, then I'd be mad cus I don't want to buy a(n?) XbOne.

I personally am just waiting for Microsoft to stop pushing the Kinect and start selling the console without that pos. Till they do i won't be buying an xbox one and spending an extra 100 dollars for something i don't want, need, or will ever use. Plenty of time for them to do so before they release Halo 5 or this Halo 2 Anniversary so i can wait.

That's how I felt when I bought that shitty new Halo game that just came out for the 360.

Seen a similar article here- http://metro.co.uk/2...n-2014-4283235/

Though I am a little skeptical of H2: A including ports of Halo 3, 4, 5 beta access AND a Halo tv series, seems a lot to expect for a release almost 10 months away.

More to the point will we see the same changes to canonical and iconic items as seen in Halo 4- the alternate Mark 6 armor and halo 3s Dawn also will we see Spartan Ops's Covenant Harvester take the place of the existing Halo 2s along with the rest of the interchangable graphic upgrades, I guess on the upside the Brutes appearance will seem a little less rushed as stated by the game designers and also to have this spread out to the Halo 3 rerelease as well

Don't ask such questions, they might actually come true! God I would end my life if Halo 2: Anniversary used Halo 4 assets.

Most likely 343, I would assume anyways.

I just want a Halo 2 copy to use on the 360, with all the comforts this console offers (Live, profiles, achievemnts etc.). I don't care if it is a remake with new graphics and Halo 4-based multy. I just want to be sure I will be able to play Halo 2 in the future.

I think halo 2 is one of the few backward, comparability games for 360 anyway.
