Infinity has Titanium A3 which is a titanium-forerunner metal alloy. Also, shields. It got boarded 3 times because the plot demanded it

I was referring to the marines onboard Infinity tasked with the protection of humanitys most important ship wearing sub-par BDU-armor systems.

Also where did you see that the composition of A3 plating includes forerunner compounds?

I don't care what type of armor it is, everything in halo 4 looks dumb.

Agreed. The thing that I probably hated the most were the Forerunner turrets and cannons besides the real small ones that Cortana hijacks in a Midnight. The Particle Cannons in Reclaimer and the AAA seen in Spartan Ops make me rage, though.

I dunno...for me its a contest between Halo Reach/Anniversary and Halo 4's armor. They seemed somewhat believable to me, and made the most sense.

For Reach's armor, the UNSC hadn't been in ANY wars except with themselves, meanign the insurrectionists. So they didn't have much need to really "change" their armor types or improve them. That's why they had Spartans; let the super soldiers do all the real work.

That's way, the covenant shows up, and then they are like, "Oh crud, they have plasma and such ,and we're still messing with bullets..we're screwed!"

Whereas with Halo 4, they looked as if they were trying to be Sci-fi as stated on the first page, but trying to look present dayish, since we all still use Kevlar and the like. But that's just my opinion.

By the time the Fall of Reach came about, the UNSC had been fighting the Covenant for about 25 years...

And losing resources and the like, as well as time. I'm not sure how much was left for them to utilize and make "better" gear for themselves, until post war that is.
