For clarity, the armor I showed for Reach is the actual Marine armor you see when the Marines touch down in the Pelican at the very end and when you attack the Solstice.

And yeah I was thinking of putting in the Halo Wars armor which I also love, but it's so similar to the Halo 3 armor that it ended up basically just being that with some pretty reflections and new knee and elbow pads, so I left it out.

Oh, and I'm not sure how Reach having outdated gear makes much sense. For starters it's Reach, and the Marines were coming from the Pillar of Autumn, a Marine ship. I don't see why they'd be given crappy gear seeing as as far as we know, the UNSC Marines are not locally based units.

But Spartans die upon getting completely submerged.

Just a game mechanic.

MC falls in the water in Halo 2 and is fine afterwards. Also Spartans fall in the water in Fall of Reach when falling from the Pelican and are fine (well, not damaged from the water) afterwards.

Aside from the fact that all 2,000lbs of him would have sunk like a rock, yeah he seems pretty good.

I believe it was the Fall of Reach where Kelly and Fred crash their stolen Banshees into a lake or something and they had like 3 or four minutes of air before the suit depressurized and filled with water.

He did, gravemind got him in Halo 2 and I bet Kelly or whom ever from Fall of Reach just walked along the bottom.

I know. I'm just saying, the only issue aside from air would have been sitting at the bottom of a water filled crater since he weighs too much to swim.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but does not Ghosts of Onyx mention that the spartans on Earth did a underwater op prior to beeing sent on the whole securing old nukes mission.

The Reach armour, even though it was an Army grade armour rather than Marine. The Pillar of Autumn's Marines have Army grade armour due to artistic license, just like the Master Chief's MK VI armour from Halo 2 to Halo 3 there is no canon reason for the alteration.

I like Halo Reach armor the best seems like something that would let you take a hit and keep fighting where as all the others you take one hardlight or plasma round and your going to be screaming blody murder. Also REACH IS THE ONLY GAME WITH FEMALE MARINES and they look badass. 343 is a bunch of sexist bastards.

I was a real fan of the marine armor in halo 3 and reach. However, aren't alot of the forces depicted in reach actually unsc army?

Yes they're army but the armor itself is a graphically updated Halo CE armor.

Who says that the marines and army can't share the same armour? In The Royal Marines and the British army, we ware the exact same uniform.
I don't see how that incomprehensible to some people.
