Us old timer are out of the game. Years of slaving and they don't even rip us off anymore.
I would be pretty surprised if the Trafalgar class doesn't bear similarities to the Thermopylae class and I really hope Spartan won't miss the opportunity to take some inspiration from the Orion class (their version of the Valiant bears quite a strong resemblance to it now that I think about it).

I wouldn't call it a "strong" resemblance...

Don't like that colony ship looking thing. It does NOT look Covenant at all. Way too sharp of curvature and really? Bubble canopies? What is this, the 20th century? It looks way too mechanical and organic enough. 0/10 looks like shit
Those bubbles are hunting domes to keep the fleet supplied with food. It's more of an artistic flair, and it's not a warship in any way mind you. For a Warship it is shit, but for an agriculture ship I think it looks nifty.

Ok, I understand the domes and like them. What I don't like is everything else from the agriculture ship. Basically, it looks like jelly. Space Jelly. I messed up wonky mess of purple, trying to not wobble apart/away in space. Seriously, just what the hell? How is that a ship? It looks like some kind of slug/snail you would find under the ocean. Or a piece of ribbon wrapped around two baubles. Don't think any ship needs large absences of anything between their ships and random 'slits' and 'panels' coming out here and there. I much prefer the original Infinite Succor design before it was turned on its head, literally. Also, why is there even a agriculture ship included in Fleet Battles? It doesn't have a very important role, besides food, but I don't know how that comes in to a board game based on epic space battles.

I'll try and find the source later, it's going to be a troop carrier specializing in boarding.

Well if anything the Trafalgar class should look like the supercarrier from the Fall of Reach comics, which in turn was an artistic rip off of the original supercarrier for Homefront which was supposedly lost in the great computer crash of 2007.

I honestly can't say that I any issues with how the Epoch carrier looks (or even the Covenant ORS), it honestly looks a new carrier based on aspects from the Athens carrier and it matches the UNSC's design language. I feel people are being a little too harsh on the Epoch.

To be fair the mod team isn't on the type of schedule professionals are. Publishers like EA and Microsoft often rush their developers, resulting in half assed game assets and games themselves. SotP is 7 years old (I think) and still isn't complete. Many devs get just over a year. It's amazing that a Crack team of semi professional people can create better models in their spare time, than professionals hired by 343. Well done!

To me, their Epoch class heavy carrier looks more like a post-war designed battleship. The over all look says, "this is an SMAC with engines welded on", rather than "this is actually capable of launching fighters".

They also have about 30 artists. Or more. They contract them in for the job and then kick them out after. This is why many game companies have such fucked up cultures now. The only people who stay around are the leadership. Work force is disposable.

My thoughts as well. It's a thin little thing. Longswords are the size of 747s. No way in hell that thing can field them and hold their support equipment and staff.
