This is where we ask questions about the halo universe.

I would like to know why Hoods flagship was a light frigate?

It is never specifically stated that Lord Hoods flagship was a light frigate. Halopedia never specifies. It is more likely that he took command of the Forward Unto Dawn during the battle of voi simply because he only had a few ships left to defend earth with.

Some how I doubt that... It's not the way most naval officers survive to get to the rank that Hood did...

Good fortune's the only way UNSC naval officers survived to get to the rank that Hood did.

It never stated FUD was Hood's flagship, however IIRC frigates and smaller UNSC vessels are the only ones rated for atmospheric flight, given the fact that the Autumn had to use a SRB attachment to lift off from dry dock on Reach. So even if he had larger ships, they couldn't help unless they risked bombarding the surface. Hood merely took control of the battlegroup I'm assuming since it was a major offensive.

It's drifting through space and will eventually return to UNSC space in the future, as stated by the end of Halo Wars. Just think of it as Alien and Aliens, where Ripley drifts through space for a hundred years...

People are still in stasis with a load of older spartans, people look slightly older since Cryo does not stop them from aging completely. Maybe it ices over like the aft section of the Forward Unto Dawn. Maybe Serena reaches her expiration date and stops taking care of the ship. No one knows unless they do a follow up.

To be completely honest with you and with myself, the crew of the Spirit of Fire may never return. Probably won't return. Bungie was super pissed that they were forced into allowing the Halo IP to be used on that RTS platform. It was only made as a Halo game because they didn't think the RTS format on a console would be strong enough with a new IP. Frank was pretty pissed about it personally, and now he controls the Halo IP for Microsoft.

Frank O'Connor has hinted at doing another Halo Wars, though, because it was more successful than they anticipated.

Halo Wars was pretty ok. I think Ensemble should of tried to make it like AoE and make like entire planets/ very large sections of planet the battlefields. The first gameplay trailer for Halo Wars was epic, they should of kept it like that. For those interested .

But in regards to SoF, best things I ever read about what happened/ will happen.

Halo 6:
"Oh thank god, we're finally back! Listen, we need to tell you guys about the floo-"
"Already dealt with it."

"What about the covena..."
"Yeah, we won that war too..."

"Oh, and by the way, we are at war with the Forerunner who use digitized ancient humans as foot soldiers. Oh and yeah, we have a gigantic ship that can cut a CCS Battlecruiser in half by ramming it."

*minds blown*

That is all.

Time for a Necro.

Why is Shielding on the head weaker than on the rest of the body, I mean, armor being lighter there makes sense but shields have no weight being energy.

Probably because of the visor, and all the additional sensors in the helmet. These combined would make it less room for power sources ergo weaker shielding at that point. And you know, gameplay (critical hit points are important).
