You're right about it being a masterpiece but Carter didn't witness the death of Jun, a very nice Fan produced comic can be seen here- http://leviathan.bungie.org/

Bungie linked this guy on their website a few years ago, and he's doing some concept art for us. This is as good as fan fiction and art get.

Normally I dislike fan-made stories, but thats because they usually breach canon. This one seems like it fits in nicely, so I'd consider it canon

I read the books after I played reach and am still pissed at bungie for changing the story.I love the game, it was extremely fun to play and I had a great time. I just believe the way the fall of Reach was portrayed in the book Fall of Reach was better. The thing is, these stories are from completely different stand points of the actual battle from the way I remember it.

Ah when this got renewed it reminded me of an earlier discussion we had.
they didnt rewrite Fall of Reach, frankie has confirmed without going into detail that both the Noble team story line and the books fit together into the one chain of events.
I stopped at Barnes & Noble the other day and while looking around i did find a new altered edition of The Fall of Reach. I have a picture of it on my phone to post as proof if anyone wants it, but I'm too lazy to bring it up otherwise.
