I don't imagine the location of the fire control would affect the length of a MAC. Historically the fire control station is on the bridge of a UNSC and Covenant ship.

The location of fire control has nothing to do with the links of the MACs particularly when the ship's AI is capapble of doing it. However there are fire control stations on the bridge for use if an AI is not involved.I don't imagine the location of the fire control would affect the length of a MAC. Unless he means the area the MAC slug is loaded... which wouldn't be fire control but yeah...The location of fire control has nothing to do with the links of the MACs particularly when the ship's AI is capapble of doing it. I thought this is what he might of meant but he said fire control and I thought:
"Ma'am! Fire control for the main cannon is offline!"
"Captain, the cannon was my last offensive option!"
"Alright, that's enough. I'm initiating Cole Proto... {etc.}"

That is what I was trying to say, the location of the big red button you press to fire the MAC wouldn't have an affect on the MAC itself.
