oh i see now im sorry i should have thought duh thats where the infinity titian research is after all, but you did say other faction, so what did you mean?

I did mean the faction research, sorry at the moment I only thought faction and left out the word research.

I thought there was no split... im confused now..... a split humanity would be cool, a UNSC and ONI both a sub faction each with extra crap just like in vanilla rebellion. but they would not fight eachother.

Tech split. You split factions midway through by choosing one tech or the other. Infinity will be in both though

That clears up the confusion I had about whether the tech split was going to include different titans as well. However, will there be other significant changes in the tech split besides the shielding upgrades ONI provides?

The UNSC or what ever the other tree is probably gets either economy or weapons boost, while the ONI tree probably gets more research geared toward or survivability and ship ability's. (hence sheilds)

Pretty much right on the money. I won't give away too much but Oni's counterparts are called the MIC (Military Indistrial Complex) and get a buff to build rates and fleet supply. However, it's all very work in progress, I'm wouldn't even be 100% sure if the split will even be featured in the next release. Either way, good call.

Thanks, i always try to be realistic, mostly cause i dont want to tick off the devs with anyoing questions. But with this new information, I hope i can be (to a realistic extent) a little more helpful in these kind of discussions, as for the star bases, i thought since its being talked about how the new station will get shields for ONI how about for the trade complex it gets a trade port by default, meaning you dont have to upgrade it to get said port, but you can upgrade it to improve income rates, same goes for ONI what if you can upgrade shield strength. just a thought but i think its a cool concept.

well, that was what I thought it was - due to lack of another model and the wonky coding required to make it work. We'll have to use the ability spawn method which Lavo himself said is not the best if we don't have to.

well, that was what I thought it was - due to lack of another model and the wonky coding required to make it work.

If we manage to wrestle the proper coding into place, there's another option we could choose. I'm not too concerned about doing anything with it in the very near (read: next release) future, but I think it's worth pursuing.

Im partial to a second titan, actually screw partial I think that would be awesome, but as for what it could be, it would have to be fannon, as i cant think of a vessel even remotely comparable to infinity, if we made one up i could only imagine its arnmanets. how dazzling it would be indeed.

Well we can do the coding, it's just it's a bad workaround. I'd rather not do it. Of course if someone provides a model, it's an option. I'd just rather not do that.
