Difference is that I'm not using playtester version and neither is alot of the people so when we are talking about it the playtester version is a moot point for now.

Im just saying that the supercarrier spam will not last forever

Yeah but also gotta micro the units and One does not simply send just 50-75 frigates they hit that build unit button as thought their lives depend on it, and once they upgrade the rate of fire for their mac guns the frigates just overwhelm halcyons due to sheer amount of fire that is being sent their way

the particular engagements i was talking about were enemy fleets that were moving through neutral gravity wells, and i was actually micromanaging my halcyons. also, i had all military research done at the time.

Well if you have 30 of anything (cept for scout ships anti strike craft and colony ships) you can pretty much take on any neutral world

More bombers than fighters. 6:4 is a good marker.

i get one of each for each ship, any extra spots (for example, the eion with 3 slots) i put an extra fighter. i usually end up with a 3:2 fighter bomber ratio

This is the fleet i normally use,

i start all ways with 5 smaller fleets,

like,

1x vallint
10x Mako
10x Charon
10x paris,

those i use early game until i've gained enough ground,
to get my economy up and runnig,

developing

the thantus and eion cruisers,
to replace the Charon and Paris.

at the end of the game,

i alway's mass my fleet together for
my final push to win the game,

My victory fleet (Max out Caps):

1x Valiant capitol
3x Athens Carriers
11x Thermopoly Supercarriers (Love them!)
1x Phoenix

10-15x Mako
5x Cradle
30-35x Eion
25-30x Marathon
30-35x Halcyon
10-15x Thantos
10x Berlin
10x Paris
10x Charon

Al those together ensures always my victory,
i use my frigates as cannon feeders,
so my cruisers and capitols can anialath the enemy

Dear Humanity,

We regret being alien bastards. We regret coming to Earth. And we most definitely regret that the Corps just blew up our raggedy-ass fleet!"

20 marathon cruisers

I assume the Marathon got a little buffed? You tend to never build those.

i use 20 of them in my fleet, used to be 30, but i reduced the number to make room for other ships, such as the charons and berlins

the marathon itself did not get a buff, but it IS a good cruiser, almost as good as a capital ship
