Supercarrier nerfed:
credits 10000.000000
metal 2000.000000
crystal 500.000000
BuildTime 120.000000
I'll have Makon take a look at the research as well, but this is at least a start.
Why not have it as a four stage research option?

2-4 Thanatos destroyers
2-3 Eion carriers
5 Paris frigates
10 Charon frigates (often rebuilt at the end of every battle)
One of those at each border planet with support from an Anchor Station, 2-4 Sabre Hangars, and the MAC wall to hold off the enemy until reinforcements arrive, If they're needed.
My main offensive (and at times reinforcement/rescue) fleet once I get a good ways in is:
1 Thermopylae supercarrier
2-4 Orions
2-4Valiants (Two if I have four Orions)
2 Athens Carriers
5 Marathons
5 Eions
10 Thanatos destroyers
20 Paris frigates
30 Charon frigates
5-10 cradle stations
1 Phoenix-class refit

If you build a frigate factory and upgrade anchor station construction bay you can pretty much instantly make ships.1 Marathon cruiser
2-4 Thanatos destroyers
2-3 Eion carriers
5 Paris frigates
10 Charon frigates (often rebuilt at the end of every battle)
One of those at each border planet with support from an Anchor Station

I upgrade the station with max armor, auxiliary government, one repair upgrade, and then use the remainder on fighter bays to fend off fighter spams that the AI likes to use on me.
You'd want some Mako's then as well, maybe about 10-20

Batlle Group Archangel
2x Thermoplyae Carriers
2x Orion Battleships
10x Marathon cruisers
1x Halycyon refit
This is my go to ship to ship battlegroup. The Thermoplyae carriers can tank just about anything and the Orions bring the Nuke fest.
Battle Group X-Ray (HK Fleet)
2x Orion
12x Thanatos
10x Marathon
4x Eion light carrier
This is the fast raiding fleet I use. The Eions provide fighter support while the Thanatos, Marathons, and Orions smash ships and structures.
Battle Group Aegis
1x Valiant Super heavy Cruiser
4x Halcyon Cruisers
10-20x Charon/Paris Frigates
1x Phoenix class Assault Carrier
10x Marathon cruisers
1x Cradle repair station.
I use this fleetstlye the most it allows me to go defensive and offensive pretty quickly. Plus I cannot overstate the value a cradle has to a fleet. I love em.

15 Charons class frigates
10 Haylcron crusiers (non refit)
4 Eion class light cariers (for more fighter support)
3 Thermopylae Class Supercarriers (cause they look awesome, also they are some of the few ships i can see without zooming in lol)
2 Orion battleships (for some upfront firepower)
2 Cradddle class refit ships (really helpful when you gotta blitz the first 4 systems to be succesful in an end game 5-star fortress map)
Other than the core any other ships i decided to add in for the lols maybe some thantos idk usually just more holycron (refits if i feel the need) or some marathon class crusiers.

I like it, though I've never been too keen on using carriers. Any praticular reason why you chose pre-refit Halcyons?
Aside from the fact that they have no nukes and a little less health, they are much cheaper and more cost effective in mid game conflicts.

Defender, can you not be mean please? Having the Orion up front is finee.
as a sniper in most FPS games, i can tell you this with certainty, being on the front lines is a death sentence lol
Im not saying the orion is screwed up front, im just poking fun at the irony here

and a fleet of halcyon non refits (about 30) can wipe out a medium sized battlegroup (50-75 frigates/cruisers, 1-3 capital ships) with minimal losses (about 20%)

Yeah but in late game matches man people still group roughly 3-6 (saw one match where there were constant supercarriers being made 8 or 9 by the end of the battle ) super carriers together. Sadly though they can be taken out by nukes and/or suffcient numbers of cruisers or even frigates.

Difference is that I'm not using playtester version and neither is alot of the people so when we are talking about it the playtester version is a moot point for now.

Yeah but also gotta micro the units and One does not simply send just 50-75 frigates they hit that build unit button as thought their lives depend on it, and once they upgrade the rate of fire for their mac guns the frigates just overwhelm halcyons due to sheer amount of fire that is being sent their way
