Perhaps they are similar in function to the two support ships mentioned at the end of Halo: Glasslands, like the Spirit of Fire they were civillian ships given a refit for a support combat role, You have to remember that after Halo 3 very little of the original UNSC Fleet survived so they used refitted non-combat ships to replace their losses, explains why these ships dont have the standard UNSC hull design and markings.

One of the "antenna" ships during the Infinity's commissioning. Judging by it's size when compared to the Infinity, these ships aren't that big/heavy. Probably mid to light cruisers if I had to guess.

I agree with you. The smaller ship is roughly one sixth the size on Infinity in Length. If the Infinity is about 5700 meters long. That would make that smaller ship about 990ish meters long, which is about 200 meters shorter than the Pillar of Autumn. Although, that is if the ship is about the same distance away as the Infinity. To me this ship looks like it may be quite a distance away which would make it longer than my previous estimate of ~990 meters. But there is no way to accurately judge the distance because there are no shadows visible. Disregard the Pelican in the right, it is uber close to this camera angle.

Ah, Halopedia is the best. And 990ish meters sounds about right.

That's not concept art, that's a screenshot. And that's a Charon-class frigate.

Apologies, the site I found it on called it concept art. And yeah, it is a Charon-class. Although to be fair, the new frigate does look similar to the Charon redesign.

We plan to include the new Charon class in Rebellion, until we get more solid info about the other ships we have no intention of including them.

If any of you guys have watched the end of Forward Onto Dawn, it still shows what I believe were charon class frigates(the old ones) and some Paris class frigates, and some cruisers as well. But I could be wrong. I just want to say that even a Huge military administration like the UNSC, they may have new ships and new designs. But they would still build battle tested equipment before they go with untested.

I hope this makes sense I just got back from a week out.

Sorry if it seems like I'm reviving a dead thread, just thought I'd help identify these ships.

The elongated cylindrical ship is a Poseidon class Light Carrier, its armour is Titanium A Battle plate,

Armament:

Point Defence Canons

Presumably 1 Magnetic Accelerator Cannon

It is 719 metres long or 2,359 ft

The 'Antennea Ship' is a Vindication class Light Battleship, its armour is Titanium A Battle Plate

Armament:

Presumably at least one Magnetic Accelerator Cannon

Point-defense guns

It is 1,580 metres long or 5,183 ft

The final ship is identified as a Strident class Heavy Frigate, its armour is Titanium A Battle Plate and Energy Shielding

Armament:

Mark IV, heavy coil - 94B1E6/MAC[1]

M42 Archer missile delivery system[1]

M870 Rampart 50mm point-defense network[1]

M4093 Hyperion nuclear delivery system (3x)[1]

It is 575 metres long or 1,887 ft

http://www.halopedia...s_light_carrier

I'm not sure if any of this info is useful to anyone, just thought I'd post it.

Viva la necrovotuion!

but it is nice that you took your time to identify and get the informations for these ships, +1 for effort, even thought i'm pretty sure that they were already mentioned somewhere in the depths of this forum (probably some weeks after halo 4 was released).

Yeah, they were already identified long ago and the possibly of adding the new Halo 4 ships to the mod was heavily discussed. I believe the developers ultimately decided against adding them.

P.S Welcome to the forum @DeltaHalo241.

This thread was actually the first result of a Google search.
