That is EXACTLY what they do, you say stop, hold position, they start moving again!
So freaking fustrating

If they are in a fleet the ships will always go to fleet formation you need to break the fleet on order to keep them from moving.

I vote for reducing the amount of mines it fields, possibly making it lay only one mine. Keep it like a Shiva, but a good thing would be incrementing the slot cost. This way you have to balance them with SMACs and hangars.

Now, in the Entrenchment version a late game is boring as hell, there are mines everywhere, it's just a non-stop suicide Frigate/Prowler spam.

Yes, I knew that reviving an old topic is bad, and that's why I created a new one. Different from this one. But I was redirected here. They took my ideas and they ripped and burned them, they punched me repeatedly, yelling at me that there was already a topic about that, while someone...I can't tell who he or she was, there were too many of them around me, and the blood on my eyes blinded me. So here I am, alive, but dead inside.

I'm kidding, if you didn't understand.

to be honestly i prefer the idea that prowlers can be the only ones that can plant Havoc Nuclear mines that cost alot... but what about moray mines the UNSC also use would be a good idea for general planetry defense (they're also tracking so the ability to move and track would be a good idea)

I agree with spartan that prowlers are the only thing that can place Havoc Mines, and I agree with the moray mines, but I wouldn't give the covys the ability to detect the mines the mines would really only help against the covy and flood, with the UNSC and Forerunners able to remove the mines. UNSC because they should be able to remove the mines and Forerunners because they are advanced beyond belief and would be able to detect them, and for just ideas for mines I say the covys should have no mine, the UNSC go with above and Forerunner should have mines that cannot be removed due to their beyond thought advanced technology, like having mines in Slipspace.

Mines for Forerunners? From what I've heard they're enough OP even without mines. But being able to detect mines sounds good to me.

Why not, you would think that they would have them considering their technological level.

If they considered their technological level completely there would be no competition.  Forerunners would just romp all over everyone every game.

I just think of it this way it they are capable of doing all that why not give them Slipspace Mines, good way to rip a ship in 2 right, for reference the accident that Kat mentions in Halo: Reach.

Instant destruction of one ship and the mines are of the moving, invulnerable kind. So when a fleet jumps in you just fly your pelican at a capital ship and watch the sweet slip-space destruction.

Problem is that they are already enough powerful to sweep your fleet off the space-floor with little effort. Giving them a Slipspace Mine would be, surely awesome, but balance breaker.

and the only way to balance it would be to limit them to like 1 per planet. Which can't be done because mine limits aren't faction-specific

Congratulations Sternus, you've reached the point in your English education where you can modify idioms and create new words for comedic effect. I wish I had said that. Big step here, people.

I sure as hell can't be anything more than childishly or crudely funny in Spanish. Usually when I get laughs they're of the "at" persuasion rather than the "with."
