I just finished trying that. Made a account. No good. Tried twice.
Have you tried the nexusmods mirror?

It's definitely something wrong on your end. There must be something we're missing here.

When it gave the member fee, didn't realize I would of moved pass that. However, still no good with the mod from Nexus.

Checksum is correct.
Alright I have one last idea. Try running the mod in dev.exe, or just run it in windowed mode with the regular .exe.

Nope. In Dev, none of the mods even show up. And Window mod dose no change.

Have we gotten his system specs yet? That might help us solve this.

You'll need to copy the mod to the Dev folderNope. In Dev, none of the mods even show up. And Window mod dose no change.

Yeah, forgot that bit. Once you boot the dev.exe it creates a mod folder for dev.exe. So do that thing.

Sorry for long delays.
Specs: Windows 8.1
Intel® Core TM i7 CPU 870 @ 2.93GHz
RAM 8GB
Type 64bit Operating system and Processor
And when I tried the Dev route, new error pops up, Assert, Saying missing tons of sound data files for many ships (like all of the ships)

That's normal I believe. Do you get any other errors?

Ah yes, the errors. Either just hold enter until the game starts or go to your settings folder and make "ShowErrors" False. In the public build there are more errors than there are mcdonalds, but they don't actually harm anything.

IT WORKED! omg... finally. Thank you all for the help. Don't know why it has to work like this but thank you
PS. Pretty much ever click I still get those sound errors. Will that always happen?

Goto: My Documents/My Games/Ironclad Games/Sins of a Solar Empire/Setting/rebellion.user.setting
Open that folder with Notepad and change "ShowErrors" to "FALSE".
Seeing how that dev.exe works if you wanna fiddle around with this anymore try running the regular game in windowed mode. Other than a resolution problem I don't know why this would really change anything. Hey, it works!

I've downloaded from both Nexusmods and ModDB. When I apply the mod, it just goes back to the intro cutscene and nothing has changed. Mod checkscum is 0.
I've tried running the game full screen and windowed, neither of which make any change.
Any ideas? I'm running out of ideas

"*If you've enabled the mod and nothing has changed you've not put the mod folder into the Sins mod directory, you've put the folder that HOLDS the mod folder into the mod directory. Pull it out of that folder and you should be fine."
I've put the mod into "Mods-Rebellion v1.82, same place as Sins of a Galactic Empire, which works fine. Is that correct? Because I don't understand what I need to do, sorry :<
EDIT: I managed to get the mod to show up, but now when I apply the mod, I get a checksum and everything, but for some reason, it seems to pause on the loading screen and when I tab out there's an error message.
2 EDIT: I've also pasted the following:
