So it is still not working, now I am getting a MiniDump every time I try enabling the Mod or starting it.

 

I was just thinking, I had to do a full wipe of my computer and started fresh a week ago. Maybe I am missing a program. Any program you recommend?

For anyone else answering the issue: it is not one of the casual setup issues. Either there is a download that happens to be corrupt every time (he said he's done it like 12 times) or some other unknown issue.

 

Anyways, I would make sure to enable Large Address Aware. The mod is pretty big so maybe it uses too much RAM on startup and crashes? I dunno.

I did a checking of the game files through steam, kept saying "a file is missing, reacquiring" or something to that effect

I probably will just have to wait for the next update to the mod. See if that fixes anything.

Seeing as you've just wiped your comp, is it possible your drivers are outta date?

Do any other mods work?

 

SoGE and STA3 are pretty good mods too. Try and see if one of those works. They're of comparable size to SotP so check that if you can.

Ok, I just tested STA3. It loads up fine. That might mean something wrong with SotP.

try enabling it from the in game menu? and are you using the version with the underscores and not the periods?

Yes to all that. You even tried it yourself. When I do it that way, I still get a MiniDump error. This time in when its loading the mod beside when Im starting a map.

 

Minidump says

then after pressing ok

Then just says Windows closed the program because of a problem.

You have been downloading from ModDB correct? Do you have a ModDB account?

Because ModDB offloads non-members to really crappy servers that have a tendency to fail. Badly.

Judging by your IP, you shouldn't have terribly bad experiences, but the member servers would be better.

Make a moddb account, it's not like it costs anything, and it's not hard to do. THen try redownloading the mod, who knows, it might actually work this time.
